✿ Discovered that I'll probably have the house to myself this weekend. Hurrah! Hopefully that won't change. Even though I just came back from vacation, I'm already missing peace and quiet. There are tentative intentions to get a bunch of things done, but - let's be real, I'll probably spend it bumming around as usual, though hopefully I'll get a bit of writing done at least.

✿ I watched a random episode of Steven Universe - basically it was a case of "This is all over my dash - okay, fine, I'll try it". It was all right! Garnet is awesome. Jasper appeals to me on some strange level. Probably not going to get around to actually watching the show any time soon, but it's going on my "maybe I'll actually watch it some time, eventually, probably" list. But, there are a lot of things on that list, so... we'll see. (The episode, by the way, was "Jail Break".)

✿ Every year, I make it a goal to watch 50 movies. Usually I manage to reach it some time in November or December. I've already passed that - Metropolis was #51. ?! I'm not sure how this happened. Hadn't thought I was watching more films than usual, but apparently so. This doesn't mean I won't be watching any more films this year, of course, but maybe I should spend some extra time reading... since I always intend to read 50 books as well, and never manage to reach it.

✿ Speaking of movies, you should all watch Ex Machina. I was able to see it at the Vic Theatre the night before I had to leave. It's great if you enjoy science fiction that involves robots, artificial intelligence, and the question of what it means to be human.
