Three things make a post
May. 2nd, 2019 07:14 pm☆ Eurovision in a couple of weeks! I can hardly wait! I haven't listened to any of the songs yet, and I probably won't - leaving it until the actual event makes it more exciting for me. Unfortunately, I won't be able to watch the semifinals, but at least I'll probably be able to listen to them. I'll be using the SVT stream again. I kind of wish I could understand the commentary, but then again, I often find commentary with this kind of thing to be a bit irritating, so maybe it's better that I can't. ;p
☆ Have been poking a little bit at details for my Norway trip next year. I'm thinking September, though of course that might change. The price of everything makes me want to faint, but I expected that, and it's good that I have over a year to plan and save up. And the flight will be another pain in the ass altogether - "So, do you want your 13-hour layover in Calgary, or in Munich?" Egads. I really hate the getting-there part of travelling. Still undecided whether to add Trondheim to the list of cities I'll be visiting.
☆ Here, have some Bortkiewicz: Suite for Violin & Piano op. 63: III, Meditation. I like the whole of op 63, but I keep coming back to this bit in particular. My favourite radio station, CKUA, plays classical music and such on Saturday and Sunday mornings, and this violin/piano suite was one of the pieces last week. Bortkiewicz is a composer I hadn't heard of before, but I might need to look up more at some other time - I found that this one stuck with me unexpectedly.
