Driving practice was super crappy today. Upside: I got through it, did not kill anyone, and did not damage the vehicle. ...That's about the only upside, though.

Decided to go ahead and download that dad dating sim. MIGHT AS WELL. I'm going to be playing it in bits and pieces, using game time as a reward for doing stuff that aggravates my anxiety; I'm trying to reward-train my brain into submission. Can't say whether it's working, but stuff has been getting done, so that's something. ...This means I'll have to take my time with it, but that's all right.

I wasn't sure whether it would run on my tiny netbook, but if I turn the graphics quality down, it's okay (so far). Which is a relief.



...You know what, I'd seen people mention that the daughter is adorable, but I was not prepared for this. Holy shit is Amanda ever adorable. I'm enamoured with her. She's so cute. Her banter with the player character is great.

Though I MUST SAY, it seems the player character is the sort of guy who avoids social situations, and some of the dialogue is just too real. xD

"Dad... Are you just afraid to meet new people?"
"YES, AMANDA."

WELL, WHEN YOU PUT IT THAT WAY....

"I can't meet new people if I always stay inside and also don't go outside and also don't talk to people."

....This game is CALLING ME OUT. [/wheeze]

Right now I'm just noodling around, not particularly aiming for any specific route; I'll become more focused in my choices later. So far Mat is my favourite of the characters I've been introduced to, but who knows how things will play out. (His dorky flirting in the cafe was so endearing, though....)

Anyway. I'm unsure how far I'll get with this before the weekend, but we'll see. ...I should probably figure out how much anxiety-inducing crap I have to do in order to justify an hour of play. Arrrgh. :T
