Card reading

Picked up a pack of playing cards to use for readings. And also for use as regular cards, too.
I really like the idea of being able to just whip out a deck and do a reading whenever. I wouldn't keep my tarot deck in the kitchen with my packages of tea, but I put the playing card deck there, and it feels right.
Decided to do a quick one just to break it in. Ended up getting all spades, which obviously means I need to shuffle it more. Spades = swords in tarot, roughly.
Cartomancy seems kind of loosey goosey. Like, you can read with equivalent tarot meanings, or cards can also have their own associations. Anyway, I stuck with tarot for now.
The reading was just "stuff I need to keep in mind for today", so -
Three of spades - Conflict/difficulty
Six of spades - Journey
Two of spades - Balance
...So far my difficulty today has been getting up in the morning, but uh, I don't think that's going to be it.
Not quite sure how to interpret the reading in general, but I'll chew on it for a bit. The only way to get good at this stuff is to practice, anyway.
