Small class today: Me, K, Se, and R-kun. T-sensei instructing. It was absolutely frigid this evening; close to -40C. That might be what was keeping people away.
Thursday short class. All throwing today. No new material; all review. Went through the technique for osoto-gari, ippon-seoinage, and o-goshi. No crash mats today, so we didn't follow through with the throws today.
We haven't done much with o-goshi, but the more I work on it, the more I like it. I was practicing with R-kun for a bit, and it was very effective on him. Going to need to get a bit more used to the placement/technique, though.
T-sensei had us practicing things both right-handed and left-handed today, which was... interesting. Quite a challenge, but useful to do. I'm actually left-handed, but I typically do everything in judo as if right-handed because it's just... easier to learn the same way that everyone else is doing it.
T-sensei says that I've been improving quite a lot overall. He was there on my first day, when I was quite a mess, so I guess the difference between then and now is quite striking. xD
