If this is going to keep up, I'll have to bring out the heavy artillery: flannel bedsheets. Gotta' wash them first, though. So it'll be that + regular quilt + two down-filled quilts. ...That should fix it. orz Arrrgh, why do I live somewhere that's so cold! (Yes, the complaining will continue until the weather improves.)

I usually don't come out of films wanting a sequel, but I would be 100% down for a second movie with Judy and Nick being an amazing buddy cop duo. :D

☆ Ahhh prompts have been posted for YOI week, yay! (Over here) Probably won't stick all that strictly to this, but it's great to have some ideas. Still not quite decided about what I'll do... but knowing me it'll probably end up being an entire week of Leo/Guang Hong ficlets, pfffff. If I manage to get into gear and write something, that is.
☆ Speaking of prompts, someone posted this prompt generator and I've been playing with it for about half an hour, haaa... It looks like it's originally intended for roleplay scenarios, but it also looks like it would work great for writing, if you're looking to write fluff or fun tropey nonsense.
☆ I finished typing up the draft for my Silver Linings zine fic. I'm still not happy with it. But there's always some stage or other where I hate my writing, so... I dunno. I'll give this thing the stink-eye and keep banging away at it. The good thing is, I'm well above the minimum, so if I need to do some major cuts/revisions, it's actually doable without too much rewriting.

☆ Not scheduled to work tomorrow. Thank gods. It's not a stat or anything (our Thanksgiving was last month, of course) it's just how the schedule fell, but ah. I'm so glad. I REALLY needed a day off... I mean, I could've done another, sure, but I'm just so tired. I haven't been sleeping properly for some weird reason, haven't quite figured out why yet, so I've been even more zombie-like than normal. It's a very good thing that my job doesn't require talking to anyone except through electronic communication, otherwise we would definitely have some problems.
☆ Received a lovely card in the mail from Kiraly today! <3 Such a nice surprise to come home to. Had some lovely art along with it, too - ink drawing of Onni from SSSS, and the absolutely adorable aRTD art of Jouko and his kids that I received for Trick or Treat exchange. <3 <3 <3 So much love. I'll have to go to WalMart and see if I can get some little frames for them, or something.
☆ Ooh, Moana is out in cinema now! I was talking with Anneliese the other day - she was able to see an early screening, and she loved it. Our tastes tend to be similar when it comes to animated things, so I should probably go. I don't know much about it beyond the veerrrrry general premise, and I'll keep it that way until I do get a chance - I haven't even watched any of the trailers, actually. Should be fun. ...And this also reminds me that I haven't seen Zootopia yet, which Anneliese also loved. Really should get around to that one. (Library, here I come...)

☆ I was all ready to complain about how ~cold~ it is, but then I checked and it's only -15. All this mild weather has made me a bloody WIMP. I need to toughen up, yo. And figure out where the hell I put my fur hat. Seriously, where did I store that thing... it can't have gotten up and wandered off on its own.
☆ The answer to the question "How many black lipsticks does one goth need" is clearly "all of them". In other words, I received a package I was waiting on, hooray. Looking forward to trying this one out - matte black by Black Up, we'll see how this goes... I have a lovely satin one by MUFE but I find it transfers more than I'd like. Though I do wish this box had come in before the onset of scarf weather, eesh.
☆ Writing has been tough lately. I keep feeling like I'm pushing around a plate full of peas (I really don't like peas). Even the stuff that doesn't have deadlines is like pulling teeth. But when I think about it, I tend to at least get something done on weekends, so maybe I just need some peace and quiet. And... cleaning my room might help. Probably. Possibly. It's a mess in here. This always happens when it starts to get cold.

☆ Today consisted of some delicious lunch at Yoshi's, shopping, writing, and some lovely walks. Feels good! It was a great day.
☆ A lot of the snow that was dumped on us earlier has cleared away, and it's warm enough to wear autumn clothing again. I'm so glad for that. It was just way too early for snowboots, geeze.
☆ I have been doing very little lately aside from writing, knitting, and watching movies, but... that's okay. :D I've been feeling a little high-strung lately, so it's good to chill out a little.
☆ Arrrgh, mom is already talking about Christmas presents. This kind of stuff is always frustrating, because she's the kind of person who never takes me at my word when I say that I only want one or two specific things. If I say that I want the latest Pokemon game and a new pair of moccasins, and nothing else, I'm not making it up. (Especially since proper Canadian-made deerskin moccasins are not cheap...) Aaand of course I'm going to have to start looking for presents for everybody. Grumble, grumble. If only shopping for my family could be as easy as shopping for my friends. :V Oh, well.
☆ Finally managed to catch ep 3 of Yuri on Ice. <3 I'm still enjoying it, which is good. Wow, was the subtext ever turned up to eleven here. Now I finally know what everyone was flailing about, haha. Kind of raising an eyebrow at people going on about how it's supposedly 'revolutionary', though. But hey, what do I know - I'm just here for the pretty skating sequences.
☆ Also, I've finally managed to get around to watching Ice Fantasy! Or at least, one episode of it. This drama is basically what I expected it to be: Kind of cheesy, but SO PRETTY. I am definitely willing to put up with certain levels of cheese if it means I get handsome elves with ice powers. (Feng Shaofeng as Prince Ka Suo = omg I totally needed this in my life). And the COSTUMES, you guys, good lord! *_* So, yeah, going to stick with it for a while - not sure how quickly I'll get through it, since knitting while watching something with subtitles is a challenge, but ah well.

It was nice to see more of Yurio - and man am I ever glad that he has a canon nickname, heh, otherwise it'd get a little confusing (two guys named Yuri in the same show...) You know, I hadn't really given it much thought before, but I really appreciate that Victor is close to my age, and that Yuri is in his early 20s. It isn't often that I come across anime with "older" central characters, and it's just nice.
☆ Aaand because Yuri on Ice makes me crave katsudon, I'm probably going to go out for some tomorrow. Mmm. Nothing like katsudon and hot tea on a chilly, slushy day like the ones we've been having. <3 I'm looking forward to it.

☆ Watched the first episode of Yuri on Ice. I hadn't really planned to, because I'm not actually much of an anime person, especially when it comes to sports anime. But figure skating sounded pretty okay, and some of my friends liked it, so... Anyway, it's all right! Not amazing, but it was fun enough that I'll probably watch more, though I doubt my commitment to keeping up with something like this. Also,
